***********IMPORTANT NEWS *********
From 1st January 2020 we have taken the decision to close the kennels on WEDNESDAYS. The gates will be closed all day so there will be no access for members of the public including dog walkers. Obviously staff will still be in but we want to use this day for training and giving the dogs more quality 1-2-1 time without any interruptions. Hope you all understand and apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Even after Christmas the kindness keeps coming, we are still receiving incredible donations of all kinds of items, thank you so much to everyone who is still thinking of charities and their work.
Today’s donation has come in from Tesco’s in Kidderminster and their lovely customers, thank you to each and everyone of you for your kindness and generosity.
It does make a tremendous difference to charities because every penny saved in one area always goes towards other costs such as the ever rising veterinary costs, upkeep of the kennels, the shops...the list goes on.
Thanks again everyone! x

Thank you to everyone who left donations of food, treats and toys under the Christmas tree in our Bridgnorth foyer - they've been sent on to some needy hounds at Forest Dog Rescue!
Thank you from all at Forest Dog Rescue :)

As serious as Tarzan looks he is in fact full of fun! He has passed all of his assessments and is ready to start the search for his new home! As he came in via another rescue sadly we don't have any history on him.

Tarzan is a very happy boy who loves to play, in his kennel his toy box is always empty with toys everywhere - seems like he has a whale of a time playing when we aren't there! In the playpen he loves to run and chase toys, if your lucky he may even bring one back to you!

On the lead he can be very strong however we have started to tackle this and he is slowly improving, he definitely will need further training to continue getting him to walk on a loose lead.

Tarzan seems to generally ignore other dogs when out walking, he has walked round with plenty and has never taken a blind bit of notice. We have put him in the playpen next to one of our other dogs and he definitely looks like he wanted to play so could potentially live with another dog providing temperaments suit however he would be more happy to be the only dog and not having to share his stash of toys! :)

Due to his habit of jumping up specially in play we would recommend him being in a home with older children as he may accidentally knock over small ones.

No cat tested and older children only.

If you think you can offer TARZAN the home he so deserves, please contact the kennels on

Thank you!
